Mental Training

Mental Training refers to systematic and regular practice of psychological skills for the purpose of improving performance and increasing enjoyment of sports and exercise. Mental and emotional components are often as important as the physical aspects of performance in determining success in today’s sports arena. Many serious athletes allot up to 20 hours a week to physical practice while mental practice is often ignored. Like physical skills, mental skills such as Goal Setting, Focusing and Concentration, Sport Hypnosis, Emotional Intelligence, Arousal management, and Mental Rehearsal also need to be consistently practiced.

The Mind Plus Muscle Mental Training Room Series was designed to provide athletes and coaches with specific mental exercises to train each of these essential psychological skills. Additional mental training programs to build confidence and mental toughness (Mental Rehearsal), maintain high levels of motivation (Mega-Motivation) and direct athletes into their ZONE of optimal performance (Psyching-Up) have also been developed to assist athletes in their pursuit of excellence.
